An exceptional example of Victorian design, this antique butterfly jewel is both versatile and enchanting. Handcrafted in 9ct gold with a silver top c1890, the wings are delicately inlaid with a colourful arrangement of gemstones that mimic the natural beauty of a butterfly’s wings – Sapphires, rose cut Diamonds & pink Spinels, with a thorax set with Pearls.
Especially remarkable is the removable brooch fitting which allows it to be worn as a traditional brooch or converted into a pendant.

This incredibly rare all original Georgian c1780 ‘stomacher’ brooch is a romantic ode to nature. A bold foliate design sparkles with highly ornate ‘pinched’ set rose cut diamonds all centred around a luminous natural baroque pearl.
The silver-topped 9ct rose gold adds a subtle antique blush to the whole piece, elegant, historic, and completely enchanting, presenting in outstanding original condition.
