An exceptional Mid-Century showstopper, this Ruby and Diamond ring was handcrafted in the late 1960’s and hallmarked for Birmingham, 1969. Handcrafted in solid 18ct yellow gold and weighing a substantial 9.44 grams, it has real presence on.A confident expression of sculptural Mid-Century style, with a design aesthetic so indicative to the era.
The face is alive with colour and sparkle, combining twelve richly saturated rubies with nine bright Diamonds in a tightly packed, high-impact ‘checker board’ cluster. The contrast is striking: vivid red against crisp white fire, all framed by dramatic ribbed shoulders that sweep down the band with strong architectural lines which continue around the entire circumference. With total Ruby weight of .83ct and Diamonds totalling .54ct, the effect is glamorous, elegant & uniquely bold.
This is statement jewellery done right. Powerful, sculptural, and impossible to ignore, it’s the kind of ring that carries an outfit and commands attention the moment it’s worn.
