A gorgeous combination of sculptural goldwork and dreamy colour. This vintage ring centres an oval cabochon light blue/lavender Sapphire with a natural chatoyancy, bezel set in rich 18ct yellow gold. The soft blue stone is surrounded by an elaborate pierced foliate mount, with flowers and curling leaves worked into the gold and continuing beautifully around the shoulders.
There’s a wonderful old-world feel to this one, romantic without being overly sweet, with the cool blue Sapphire glowing against all that warm, intricate gold. The detail only gets better the closer you look.
