A stunning ring with serious presence, the star of the show is a mesmerising 1.01ct blue Diamond (colour enhanced) bezel set to showcase its rich ocean-blue colour and remarkable brilliance. Surrounding it is a sparkling halo of ten round brilliant cut white Diamonds totalling 0.20ct, creating a striking contrast that makes the centre stone appear to glow from within.
Handcrafted in 18ct yellow and white gold, the elevated setting features beautifully pierced scroll work that adds interest from every angle. Bold enough to stand alone yet refined in its execution, this is a piece that feels both contemporary and timeless. Diamond heat treatment to enhance colour:
Irradiation: This process involves exposing the diamond to high-energy radiation, such as electrons or gamma rays, to change its colour to blue or other fancy colours.
Thermal Treatment: The diamond is heated to extreme temperatures, typically between 450°C and 500°C (or higher) in a strictly oxygen-free environment to prevent the stone from burning.
Colour Stabilisation: The heat allows the displaced atomic defects to relax, move, and settle into stable configurations. This step refines the final colour saturation, smooths out uneven patches, and ensures the blue hue becomes completely permanent and stable.
