An incredible, iconic Sputnik ring by H Stern, (Brazil), featuring nineteen bezel set mixed gemstones (Amethyst, Garnet, Tourmaline, Aquamarine & Citrine) set around a central dome to an open back with a swirl gallery that is contoured to hug the finger.
Beautifully handcrafted c1950 on 18ct Yellow Gold with a slight rosy hue.

About the design: H Stern was commissioned in the 1950’s to make jewellery to showcase the vast array of gemstones available in Brazil, and so the Bombe style jewellery was born, later in the 1960’s they became known as ‘Sputnik’ to reflect the Space Race that was happening at the time.
