EDWARDIAN 1910 DIAMOND BANGLE 9ct GOLD

Now this is a special survivor. Dating to the Edwardian era, this rare hinged bangle is beautifully handcrafted in 9ct yellow gold, centred with an old-cut Diamond set into a dramatic starburst. Applied floral goldwork runs along either side, while delicate cannetille and beaded work create an ornate border. Finished with original safety chain, its the kind of craftsmanship that makes you want to keep turning it over, marveling at the exquisite details.
Full Chester hallmarks for 1910 remain beautifully visible, while the inside carries the later inscription ‘F.E.H. 5th Nov 1918’. That date, just six days before the Armistice ending the First World War, gives this already remarkable piece an especially poignant connection to its past.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition, the Diamond is secure & unabraded, applied gold work and beads are all present, hinge opens and closes smoothly, tiny dent to inside band, not noticeable when worn, in extraordinary condition throughout
