This gorgeous antique Australian blue Paste and seed Pearl bar brooch, handcrafted around 1880's in rich 15ct yellow gold, with good hallmarks for Willis & Co.
The design is beautifully balanced, with a central floral cluster of luminous seed Pearls surrounding a vibrant blue Paste stone, flanked by star-set blue Paste accents that add a celestial touch. The arrow-inspired form gives it wonderful symmetry and movement, while the warm 15ct gold brings everything together with that lustrous antique glow.
Measuring 5.7cm in length and weighing 4.32 grams, it has a refined yet noticeable presence. The craftsmanship is superb, and the hallmarks are a true highlight, clearly stamped with the Willis & Co ‘unicorn head, 15ct, W’ making it a special & highly collectable piece of Australian Victorian jewellery history.
Remaining in excellent condition, with crisp detail, beautiful colour & contrast between the deep blue Paste and creamy Pearls, the original C-clasp and pin, also crafted in 15ct gold.
