ANTIQUE VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER ETCHED HINGED BANGLE

A fabulous piece of Victorian silverwork dating to c1880, this wide hinged bangle is richly decorated with hand-etched floral and foliate motifs across the centre, framed by bold geometric Maltese cross style borders. The combination of delicate engraving and deeply worked angular detail gives it wonderful texture and that unmistakable Victorian character.
Handcrafted in sterling silver with full Birmingham hallmarks for 1880, the bangle has a hinged construction for easy wear and a substantial 34-gram weight. Measuring 6cm internal diameter, its beautifully aged surface and patina only add to its 146-year history.
