Beautifully fluid and unmistakably Victorian, this c1890 pendant is set with four rich cabochon Rhodolite Garnets, their deep wine-red tones glowing beautifully against warm 15ct yellow gold. Sweeping openwork curves, delicate scrolls and the articulated teardrop drop give the piece wonderful movement and an elegant silhouette. The teardrop piece is removable, via its own hook style bale, so you have two pendants in one!
Originally a brooch, it has been thoughtfully converted into a pendant, giving this beautiful antique a new life while preserving its original character and craftsmanship. The combination of smooth cabochons and sinuous goldwork is particularly lovely, decorative and beautifully ornate without feeling too fussy.
