ANTIQUE LATE VICTORIAN ENGRAVED PHOTO LOCKET 15ct GOLD

Incredible antique photo locket handcrafted in 15ct yellow gold in the late Victorian era c1890, with deeply engraved scrolling foliate decoration covering both sides. One side features a smooth central cartouche ready for personal engraving, while the large ornate moveable bail is pushed to one side to access the clever press mechanism that opens the locket.
Inside sits the original glass photo compartment, cleverly concealed until the mechanism is released. The locket is blank inside, ready to hold a photograph or keepsake of your own.

MARKS: None tests as 15ct gold (between 14 & 18ct)

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition, the engraved work is crisp, inside is pristine, bail working as intended (note to open the locket push the bail to the back to reveal a divot which you press your thumbnail into releasing the mechanism)
