A rare and beautiful Art Nouveau piece by renowned jeweller Charles Horner, fully hallmarked for manufacture in Chester, 1909. Features a winged insect with champleve panels of guilloche enamel in bright turquoise & greens with the body textured in basse taille, with a single pear drop below.
Suspended from original fancy rondel link chain, closing with a bolt ring.

About the Maker:
Charles Horner (1837–1896) was an English jewellery and founder of the Halifax jewellery business Charles Horner of Halifax.
Horner's business was founded in the 1860s and was based at 23 Northgate, Halifax. It produced silver jewellery and ornaments. Among its better-known jewellery lines were excellent quality enameled Art Nouveau pendants and necklaces. He became synonymous with the Art Nouveau movement and is highly regarded and fiercely collected.
