Bold yet luxurious, this vintage ‘Sputnik’ pendant bursts with mid-century charm. Handcrafted in rich 18ct yellow gold, by H Stern, Brazil with his unmissable makers mark (Crown, HS) the bold spherical design is studded with a kaleidoscope of bezel-set gemstones, including Aquamarine, Citrine, Tourmaline, Amethyst & Garnet. Each gem adds its own vibrant flash of colour, creating a joyful and eye-catching effect from every angle.
About this iconic design: H Stern was commissioned in the 1950’s to make jewellery to showcase the vast array of gemstones available in Brazil, and so his Bombe style jewellery was born, later in the 1960’s they became known as ‘Sputnik’ to reflect the fascination with the Space Race that was happening at the time.

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition, the gemstones are secure and unabraded, bale is firmly attached, no issues to note
