A stunning portrait with more than 140 years of history. Dating to circa 1885, this Victorian piece features a beautifully hand-painted Rococo/Georgian lady, a favourite theme in the Victorian era, her softly detailed face framed by beautiful powdered curls and period dress. The delicacy of the brushwork is wonderful, from the subtle shading of her features to the tiny painted details of her clothing.
Originally worn as a brooch, we’ve converted her into a pendant so she can be enjoyed all over again, retaining the original 9ct yellow gold setting and adding a simple bale for modern wear. A wonderfully individual piece where antique jewellery meets miniature art.
