A stunning Edwardian statement, bold, ornate, and rich with detail.
This antique Sterling Silver book chain is a standout example of late 19th-century craftsmanship, each link beautifully engraved with diamond & star motifs that catch the light with a divine, rhythmic shimmer. Substantial in feel yet fluid when worn, the chain carries beautiful presence, designed to be seen, admired, and treasured.
Suspended from the chain is a striking matching locket, generously sized and intricately decorated with layers of engraving, beadwork, and raised detailing. From finely etched florals to geometric bands and rivet-like accents, every surface has been thoughtfully worked, creating depth and texture that reveals something new from every angle. Handcrafted in 1098 with Birmingham marks for Sterling Silver, it’s a piece that speaks to both artistry and sentiment.
Finished with its original large bolt ring fittings, interestingly there is a removable link and smaller bolt ring, allowing this to be worn shorter, you can take this piece out and where it on a pendant, or suspend a charm from the bolt ring, options options!
