Utterly enchanting and rich with Victorian symbolism, this antique Ruby swallow pendant began life as a brooch, whilst the top was one an antique ring, before being thoughtfully converted into a beautifully wearable pendant. Handcrafted in glowing 18ct & 15ct gold, the piece features an exquisitely detailed swallow suspended beneath a delicate floral cluster set with a creamy Pearl & six sparkling transaction cut Diamonds (totalling .36ct) with a cultured saltwater Pearl to the centre.
Throughout the Victorian era, swallows symbolised love, loyalty and safe return, making bird motifs deeply sentimental and highly treasured. This beautifully sculpted example captures all the romance and craftsmanship of the period, with finely textured feathers and graceful movement that bring the swallow wonderfully to life. The addition of the antique Diamond-set daisy cluster above adds another layer of softness and symbolism, daisies representing innocence and enduring affection.
The contrast between the warm gold, bright Diamonds and rich Ruby detail gives the pendant a magical, almost storybook quality. Delicate yet full of personality, it feels equally at home layered into a modern neck stack or worn alone as a meaningful statement piece.
