Striking and full of mythological power, this pendant features a finely carved Carnelian intaglio depicting Medusa, the fabled Gorgon of ancient Greek legend. Once a symbol of both beauty and protection, Medusa was often worn as a talisman to ward off evil.
The rich reddish-purple Carnelian is hand-carved in intaglio, its deep, translucent tones adding drama to the detailed profile of Medusa. Set in a smooth, solid 14ct yellow gold bezel handcrafted in our studio, the design balances boldness with refinement, allowing the gemstone carving to take centre stage.
This pendant is a wearable work of art that bridges antiquity and modern style.
