Created by the esteemed Melbourne jewellers Duggin & Shappere c1900, the piece is handcrafted in rich 15ct yellow gold and set with lustrous seed Pearls..
The striking form features a dynamic double-layered starburst — six elegantly tapered rays extend outward in perfect symmetry, a further six rays are crowned with tulip-like motifs. To the centre of the piece, a dense cluster of creamy natural seed Pearls, radiating antique sophistication and timeless femininity.
Versatile in form and rich in history, this piece can be worn as a brooch or pendant thanks to its thoughtfully integrated fittings. Whether pinned to a lapel or suspended from a fine chain, it brings a sense of Edwardian romance and Australian heritage to any ensemble.
