Crafted at the turn of the century c1900, by early Australian jewellery firm Duggin, Shappere & Co (Canberra 1896-1928) this rare & graceful Edwardian pendant captures all the lightness and femininity the era is known for.
Handmade in 9ct gold, the design unfurls like a botanical motif, delicate foliate curves, fine millegrain accents, and softly glinting seed pearls that trace the pendant’s romantic form.
To the centre a faceted round-cut Amethyst glows in a regal violet hue, while a matching pear-shaped drop below sways gently with movement, an elegant touch of fluidity so characteristic of Edwardian jewellery.
This piece has been beautifully preserved and is a perfect example of refined antique craftsmanship. Whether styled with a silk blouse or layered over a fine knit, she adds a whisper of history and timeless elegance.
