Intricate, romantic and exquisitely handcrafted c1880, this striking antique Victorian pendant is the kind of piece that immediately stops you in your tracks. A glowing arrangement of old mine cut Diamonds (TCW = .65ct) and vivid old square cut Rubies (TCW = 1.73ct) sit within an elaborate openwork design, framed by finely detailed silver-topped settings with a 9ct gold back and bale.
The combination of rich crimson Rubies against softly sparkling old mine cut Diamonds gives the pendant incredible depth and character.
Every angle reveals another tiny detail, delicate geometric patterns, hand-pierced metalwork and that wonderful antique craftsmanship that is impossible to replicate today. It has the look and feel of a treasured heirloom with grand proportions, equally striking worn alone or layered amongst chains and lockets.
