ART NOUVEAU REVIVAL c1950-60 DANISH MABE PEARL PENDANT ON STERLING SILVER

With a large Mabe Pearl with good lustre and colour, bezel set to the top in a surround of gorgeous Art Nouveau stylised swirl work in a triangular shape suspending torpedo drop, this beautiful pendant is full of the pretty details we associate with the Art Nouveau Period, 1883-1914, this one being made later in the 1960’s.
Wonderfully handcrafted on Sterling Silver this pendant is stunning on and features a maker’s stamp: VB Sterling Denmark comes with a later, modern adjustable 60cm Chain in 925 silver.
About the maker:
Volmer Baher - 1912-1995
Volmer Baher graduated from the Industrial Arts and Crafts College, Denmark 1930, he was a leading Danish designer of jewellery and sculpture. His work is on display in the Danish Museum of Art and Design.
