ANTIQUE VICTORIAN c1880 SILVER ALBERTINA BRACELET

Both elegant and charming, this highly ornate Antique Albertina bracelet features double sections of fancy curb link chains with outer foxtails chains connected to a central beautifully etched movable slider, suspending a rope twist T Bar, closing with a dog clip and suspending a further rope twist chain and fancy etched cap with seven foxtails.
Beautifully handcrafted on Sterling Silver, 925 c1880.
*Albertina jewellery (named after Queen Victoria’s husband) refers to the enduring Victorian style, which features elaborate etched balls, hearts, fobs and stunning foxtail tassels interspersed by gorgeous ornate chains.
The Albertina is the elaborate version of the Albert chain used for fobs and watches, usually much prettier with decorative features as they were worn as jewellery rather than as functional items.
