Charming, elegant and interesting this exquisite Antique Albertina bracelet features two sections of triple rope & curb link chains connected to a central ornate ball with bulbous finials & T Bar, closing with a dog clip and suspending a further rope twist chain and fancy etched cap with eight foxtails.
Beautifully handcrafted on Sterling Silver, 925 c1860.
*Albertina jewellery (named after Queen Victoria’s husband) refers to the enduring Victorian style, which features elaborate etched balls, hearts, fobs and stunning foxtail tassels, interspersed by gorgeous ornate chains.
The Albertina is the elaborate version of the Albert chain used for fobs and watches, usually much prettier with decorative features as they where often worn as jewellery as well as being functional items.
