This striking Arts and Crafts pendant (1860-1920) handcrafted very much in the style of Australian Jeweller Rhoda Wager, features a large Marquise cut Citrine Paste stone, in a beautifully ornate surround with flowers and etched leaves to each point.
Beautifully handcrafted c1920 on 9ct yellow gold, as this pendant is unmarked, as were the majority of Rhoda Wager pieces, it isn’t possible to attribute this to her.

In the second half of the 19th century the Arts & Crafts aesthetic movement began in the UK , it represented the beginning of a new appreciation for hand made items. Arising as a pushback to the Industrial revolution and its mass produced decorative arts.
This pendant completely embodies the style of this important cultural movement, and is as pretty and wearable today as the day she was made.
