AUSTRALIAN ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PEARL AND ENAMEL RING ON 15ct YELLOW GOLD
This striking Antique Australian ring features a black enamelled shield plaque with a Fresh Water Pearl ornately bezel set to the centre rising to split shoulders with black enamelled work extended around the whole shank. Features gorgeous Victorian details throughout, with the centre bezel set having a delicate raised rope twist surround.
Beautifully handcrafted by Edward Fischer, Geelong 1828-1911 in 15ct Yellow Gold and Hallmarked as such, in good Antique condition, enamel work is still intact throughout, with some small losses and surface wear commensurate with the age of this piece. A gorgeous Antique ring on, a real slice of Australian Jewellery making history.
*Edward Fischer was born in Vienna and arrived in Victoria during the early 1850’s he began manufacturing jewellery in Geelong in 1858 until 1895 when he moved to Melbourne and continued trading until about 1916.
