With beauty everywhere you look, this divine necklace is the epitome of the Belle Epoch Era, this fine example is set with Rose and round Old Mine Cut Diamonds and Natural Pigeon Blood Rubies. It’s a necklace in two parts, with the top showing swirl and flowing floral motifs, that suspend a chain with Diamonds at the centre, ornate Diamond set leaf motifs that further suspend a Pear-cut Ruby with round bezel set Old Cut Diamonds around the circumference.
With the original fine curb link chain on white gold closing with a yellow gold bolt ring, wonderfully handcrafted throughout on a combination of white and yellow 9ct Gold, this heavenly piece is wearable history at its finest.
La Belle Époque (French) literally translates to "Beautiful Age" and is a name given in France to the period from roughly the end of the Franco-Prussian War (1871) to the start of World War I (1914).
Through this era, the standards of living and security for the upper and middle classes increased, leading to it retrospectively being labelled as a golden age, compared to the humiliations that came before, and the devastation at the end which completely changed Europe's mindset.
